Steam commenters express extreme discontent with this product, some going as far as to call it a scam. Developers, why have you not responded to the comments or explained the situation? Not a good look...
Long story short - stay away until the devs respond in some way to explain whether this is ever going to be as functional as the trailer implies or if they've in fact taken the money and run...
